Program Coordinator: Dr. Orçun Demir orcundemir@etu.edu.tr
As Bodrum Institute, we have successfully completed the fourth of our Applied Environment and Sustainability Summer School program, which we implemented to raise environmental awareness and carry the concept of sustainability beyond theory. In this program, conducted in cooperation with TOBB ETÜ, students had the opportunity to observe the effects of climate change on-site, examine wildlife rehabilitation processes, and gain ecological fire awareness. The participants, who personally experienced examples of local agriculture, production, and sustainable entrepreneurship in the field, gained a deep and lasting awareness of environmental problems thanks to this applied training intertwined with nature.
