The Training on MAXQDA for Social Scientists, organized by the Association for International Studies and Security Research (UÇGA) with the support of TÜBİTAK, was successfully completed in Bodrum. The event was designed for PhD students and early-career researchers in the field of Political Science and International Relations.
Participants gained proficiency in using the MAXQDA software and received both theoretical and practical training on data collection, coding, visualization, and analysis for their qualitative and quantitative research.
Training Content:
- Creating Projects in MAXQDA
- Creating Documents: Processing Doc, Pdf, Image, Video, Focus Group, and Survey Data
- Social Media Data: Twitter, YouTube, Web Collector, Transcription of Audio and Video Files
- Text Data Coding and Visual-Audio Data Coding (Image, Audio, Video)
- Creative Coding
- Creating Memos and Managing Document Variables
- Mixed Methods Data Analysis
- Visualization and Reporting of Data
Throughout the training, participants had the opportunity to work on a dataset using various functions of MAXQDA. At the end of the program, participants were awarded certificates of participation.
