Overview
Bodrum Institute and TOBB ETÜ are proud to host two consecutive ERASMUS Blended Intensive Program (BIP) courses in Bodrum, Türkiye, during the Summer Term of 2026, realized through a high-level transnational partnership with Humboldt University (Germany), Pisa University (Italy), Eötvös Loránd University (Hungary), Panteion University (Greece), University of Macedonia (Greece), Pázmány Péter Catholic University (Hungary), Vilnius Business College (Lithuania), and Rakovski National Defence College (Bulgaria). These programs offer an integrated learning experience that combines rigorous online academic preparation with an immersive week of physical mobility in the historical and academic atmosphere of Bodrum.

Course 1: ULU 540 International Relations of the Middle East
Coordinated by Prof. Dr. Haldun Yalçınkaya, this course provides a multidimensional analysis of modern Middle Eastern politics. It explores the regional order, state-society dynamics, historical turning points, the Arab-Israeli conflict, and the foreign policies of key regional actors.

- Prof. Dr. Özlem Tür (METU): Middle East in the 1980s: War and Order; “The New Middle East” (9/11 and Beyond); US/Israel War on Iran.
- Prof. Dr. Nur Köprülü (Near East University): Post-Cold War Regional Order; Arab Uprisings: A Quest for Change; Implications of Regional Wars.
- Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tuğçe Ersoy Ceylan (İzmir Katip Çelebi University): Arab-Israeli Conflict (1948 & 1967); Pan-Arabism; Post-2020 Normalization and Displacement.
- Assist. Prof. Dr. Gülriz Şen (TOBB ETÜ): Creation of Modern States; The Iranian Revolution and Political Islam; Iranian Foreign Policy and Gaza Issue.

Course 2: SUİ 372 History of Civilizations through Archeopolitics
Led by Prof. Dr. Erdem Denk and Prof. Dr. Haldun Yalçınkaya, this innovative program re-evaluates 50,000 years of human history by blending political science with the latest archaeological data from Anatolia. Students will explore the evolution from stateless societies to the invention of the state and modern world orders.

Credits & Assessment Both courses are designed for BA, MA, and PhD students. Each course awards 6 ECTS credits upon the successful completion of attendance requirements, active participation, and the submission of a final research paper accompanied by a video presentation.
