Bodrum Institute to Host International Migration-Focused Erasmus BIP Program in Summer 2025

Bodrum Institute delighted to announce that we will be hosting the Erasmus Blended Intensive Program (BIP) titled “MIS 501 Global Migration Studies: Governance, Law, Society, and Politics” between June 30 – July 6, 2025(online sessions) and July 21 – 25, 2025 (in-person sessions in Bodrum).

This interdisciplinary program will be organized in collaboration with TOBB University of Economics and Technology (Turkey)SNSPA Bucharest (Romania), and St. Cyril and St. Methodius University of Veliko Tarnovo (Bulgaria). Through its hybrid format, participants will gain a solid theoretical foundation during the online sessions and then engage in in-depth discussions and intercultural exchange during the in-person meetings in Bodrum.

Throughout the program, critical topics such as migration theories, the historical development of migration, forced migration, diaspora, the migration-development nexus, global migration governance, security, gender, and human rights will be explored. The sessions will be led by distinguished scholars including Prof. Deniz SertProf. Haldun YalçınkayaDr. Tsveta MarkovaAssoc. Prof. Itır Aladağ Görentaş, and  Prof. Birgül Demirtaş.

The in-person portion of the program will take place at Serpina Hotel and will include a visit to the Bodrum Museum of Underwater Archaeology, academic panels, and social events. Participants who complete the required assignments and attend all sessions will be eligible to receive 6 ECTS credits through their final research papers and presentation videos.

Bodrum Institute will be proud to host such a rich, international academic experience. Programs like this not only support young people’s academic development but also foster intercultural dialogue and collaboration.
